College Admissions

College Admissions To begin the process, you must submit an application andnon-refundable $30.00 application fee. Our students often tell us that attending CLC far exceeded their expectations. They tell us that our faculty are terrific teachers, not just experts in their fields. Enrolled students are charged tuition and fees based on their residency classification as either Florida resident or non-Florida resident. Those classified as Florida residents pay less in fees per credit hour than do those classified as non-Florida residents. Most applicants will challenge themselves by taking advantage of the rigorous coursework available to them. At a minimum, students must complete the following. Transcripts will not be accepted by fax or email. Rice is lauded for creating a collaborative atmosphere that enhances the quality of life for all members of our campus community. And our students also rave about the many opportunities to become involved on campus. We offer exactly the same major subjects, and the same quality, as a four-year university or career preparation school, but for far less money. While enrolled at CLC, you could be admitted to one of our local, regional or international partner institutions by meeting program requirements. Learn more about guaranteed transfer admission and our partner colleges and universities. The Office of the Registrar evaluates courses taken at other regionally accredited colleges or universities that are appropriate to the Rice curriculum for potential transfer credit. Through this joint effort we seek to enroll underrepresented students of high-achievement that desire to work in healthcare and represent the diverse communities in which they serve. Students admitted with curriculum deficiencies will be asked to complete the required work by taking high school or college-level courses during the summer before enrollment at Rice. Rice seeks students who demonstrate intellectual vitality through their course selection and their grade performance. Students enrolled in concurrent high school and college courses are considered first-year candidates. Application and qualifying information can be found at QuestBridge.org. If students have specific questions, they can contact campuses via email. We would encourage applicants to contact campuses via email and be patient while awaiting a response. Please be assured that all CSU campuses are prepared to be as flexible as possible when working with fall 2020 applicants on meeting admission requirements and selection. This flexibility will vary by campus and potentially by major applied due to impaction. Although there has been disruption, as campuses transition to some or all staff working remotely, processing of applications and communications is still taking place. The Residential College System and undergraduate life is heavily influenced by the unique life experiences and cultural tradition each student brings. What life perspectives would you contribute to the Rice community? Rice and Baylor College of Medicine select a limited number of first-year students each year to pursue a four-year bachelor's degree at Rice, followed by conditional admission to Baylor College of Medicine. Please refer to our Class Profile for more information on the academic profile of admitted students. Students wishing to provide additional exams for admission consideration are welcome to submit these to our office. These exams are purely optional and at the discretion of the students to submit. We want students to have every opportunity to showcase their strengths and academic achievements where possible. Current FGCU students, classified as non-Florida residents, who seek reclassification must contact the Office of the Registrar. You must provide evidence of high school graduation or in the process of graduating from high school or completing GED certificate. Applicants with a GED must submit official GED test scores. They must also have at least a SAT total of 1070 or an ACT composite score of 21. The sub-scores of each test must be above the minimum admission requirements.
